Phenomenal engine access is provided on both the 33 and 40 Expresses by utilizing electric rams to raise the bridge deck.

Mechanical Systems

Generators are installed for convenience. They come equipped with sound shields, and their location provides easy service access.

Battery chargers are standard equipment and they are located in the engine room.

Topaz Running Gear is oversized and features aquamet stainless steel shafts, 4 blade Nibral propellers, and heavy duty bronze rudders.

Electric trim tabs were chosen for reliability and they are recessed in the transom... no broken fishing line here! Notice the 8” zinc plate, also recessed. The exhaust port is fiberglassed into the transom eliminating the need for maintenance of metal ports.

A key feature found on every Topaz is the central drain system located next to both exhaust ports. You may have noticed that there are no thru hull fittings on the hull side. Every system directs water into the central drain – sinks, air conditioning, bilge pumps, decks, baitwells, etc – all flow into the system and the water is discharged out the transom. There are two advantages here: first, less chance of water leaking in via a poorly sealed or damaged thru-hull fitting; second, the boat simply looks better.

Mechanical Systems

Motor mounts are secured to 1/2” steel plates which are fiberglassed to the main stringers during lamination. They are later drilled and tapped to match the selected engine package. Also note the vibration isolators.

Racor fuel filters/water seperators are located for easy access and provide additional protection. All motors installed in Topaz boats include factory fuel filters as well.

Dripless Shaftlogs help keep your bilge dry and minimize maintenance. All thru-hull fittings below the waterline are equipped with bronze seacocks for safety and convenience.

Vacuflush head is extremely reliable and minimizes odor. It also comes equipped with a holding tank level indicator and macerator with overboard discharge.

All cabin hatches come equipped with a retractable privacy shade
and screen.

Halogen lighting provides superior illumination and long life.

A 110 volt receptacle and fresh water spigot are provided in the engine room for ease of maintenance.

Air conditioning and reverse cycle heat provide year-round climate control.

All the comforts of home... entertainment centers feature flat panel television, DVD player, and AM/FM/CD stereo with CD changer.
